Easter Week Reading

Some people like to use the days off leading up to Easter for some reading and reflection.  To help with that here are a few things linked to Bearwood Chapel’s teaching this week.

1.       We’ve included on http://faithroots.net the talk notes both from yesterday morning and also from Nueva Vida on Saturday helping us to think about why Jesus came and died.  There will also hopefully be some related short articles

2.       The book I mentioned in the talk on Sunday “Church in hard places” by Mez McConnell and Mike Mickinley is available from https://www.crossway.org/books/church-in-hard-places-tpb/ and you can also download a kindle version. If you want to think more about how we share the good news with needy people in our communities why not get hold of a copy.

3.       For those who identified with the “Bruised Reed” metaphor, Richard Sibbe’s book “The Bruised Reed” is available as a puritan paperback and you can order it from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/cka/Bruised-Reed-Puritan-Paperbacks-Richard-Sibbes/0851517404 or read it on your kindle.
